There are also excellent bakeries, butchers shops and a fresh fish van five mornings a week in the Piazza in Greve-in-Chianti. There are many opportunities to sample and buy wine and olive oil direct from most of the local estates.

For many, self-catering villa accommodation set on a hilltop is an opportunity to obtain freedom and enjoy the stunning Tuscan vistas in seclusion without too much emphasis on catering.
